This budget-oriented smartphone will be officially launched in India on June 5th, confirming Xiaomi. Redmi A3x 4G should be a best-selling product if the price and selling point are correct.
It was introduced in Aurora Green, Midnight Black, and Moonlight White shades.
As of 15th October 2024, Redmi A3x price in India starts at Rs. 6999 and offer excellent value for money.
Design
The Redmi 3A does not make a big deal out of being different from the rest of the pack, however there is no escaping that this phone has a new look. It has a waterdrop notch display to do away with bezels and increase the screen-to-body ratio giving you enough space to view your content. The back panel is made from a textured material that gives you more grip but also makes the phone look fancy. It has attractive, artsy look and it is pleasant to hold.
The Redmi A3x 4G impresses also with its good and very appealing build quality. For a device at this price point, it definitely feels like it was put together well and not flimsy. One probable material of choice for the device is good quality plastics that would ensure rigidity and scratch resistance. Its buttons have a nice tactile response and provide positive feedback when clicked.
Display
Redmi A3x 4G has a 6.71-inch HD+ IPS LCD Display. It may not be the biggest display on the market, but it offers a lot of real estate for comfortable showing content browsing web pages, watching videos or playing games. Therefore, you get the well-detailed and sharp text & images in HD+ Resolution (720x1640 Pixels).
The IPS LCD panel of the Redmi A3x 4G gives very good viewing angles that allows for consistent color and accurate representation even when viewed at different angles. That this means you can sit comfortably and watch with more than one other person without sacrificing visual quality is a big win. Color accuracy may not be as precise as more premium devices but still does a great job for the price.
Both of these areas are fine for the Redmi A3x 4G, but where its screen really excels is in terms of brightness. Most importantly, the entire screen is comfortably viewable in even the brightest conditions you should experience in a South-West Australian field.
Camera
At the back, the Redmi A3x 4G has a dual camera configuration with an 8MP sensor as its main lens and a 2MP depth unit. At the front, it comes with a 5MP selfie shooter. Now, by flagship standards these specs may seem dreary however they're more than sufficient for everyday camera usage.
The 8MP main camera on the Redmi A3x 4G takes good photos in well-lit environments. These images are reasonably accurate color-wise and have decent amount of detail. The camera is also very capable of dynamic range and can handle high contrast scenes very well.
Daylight Photography
The Redmi A3x 4G does a decent job during daylight hours, reproducing natural colors and displaying reasonably sharp images. The main sensor can take social media sharable images.

The budget performance of Redmi A3x 4G in low light conditions is praiseworthy. Gaming Performance
The Redmi A3x 4G is a smart phone that it is not for gaming are quite high end, but in some basic games like Temple Run and Subway Surfers can run this game smoothly. Though you may see frame drops, or stuttering in higher end games if left set to high. A good idea to play with smoother experience, which would be possible if you chose lower graphics settings.
Software
The Redmi A3x 4G is Android 14, Google's largest mobile system. The largest advantage is that this way you will always have the most up to date features and security-fixes. That said, Xiaomi's MIUI skin has been applied over the top. This adds a distinctive look, feel, and user interface thanks to the app drawer separate setting menu and new theming options.
Now, MIUI, Xiaomi's custom skin, has the same rip off more or less almost any other popular feature in Android here but it does give you a known and intuitive interface for an Android user. The MIUI comes with lots of customization features which let us customize the device fully. App cloning, game mode and secure vault are standard functions in MIUI 13 as well.
Essential Apps and Features:
The Redmi A3x 4G comes pre-installed with a series of essential apps from Xiaomi and Google. This comprises apps like the MI Gallery, MI File Manager, MI Security as well as Google apps such as Gmail, Maps, and Photos. You can also install more apps from Google Play store.
Updates and Support:
Xiaomi has also been popular for providing timely updates on its devices. In all probability the Redmi A3x 4G will continue receiving quarterly security patches and a few feature updates too. This goes a long way in keeping your device updated and safe.
Battery

The design is nothing exceptional and it did not break any new grounds at that time, but the build quality justifies for the same. In terms of build quality, this little guy is quite solid by budget-friendly standards. The Redmi A3x 4G comes with MIUI which brings a lot of customization features and software features. But possibly the biggest issue is that for certain customers, it seems cluttered.
