Samsung A34 review :
The new Samsung A34 phone looks like the last year’s A33 with some changes. The A34 is bigger in two things: the screen is now 6.6 inches (from 6.4 inches A33) and the A34 is bigger and heavier. This A34 is bigger than the current model A54.
120Hz refresh rate is updated from the older model, which means smoother than the old one. The bezels are smaller and the screen itself is wider than it is tall for a more modern look.
The biggest difference this year is the chip inside the phone. Samsung switched from its own chip to a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chip. This is interesting because the more expensive A54 model got a new Samsung chip. Other than the chi, the A34 is pretty similar to last year’s model. The battery is still big 5000mAh with fast charging, and the camera seems almost the same with one main camera, an ultra-wide camera, a macro camera, and a front selfie camera. There is no extra camera for depth effects this time.
Design & Build :
All the Samsung Galaxy phones are starting to look more alike. The most expensive S series phones already looked similar, and now mid-range A series cameras like the same S series phones. The back camera on the A34 has three separate lenses sticking out quite far. This makes the phone wobble when we position this phone in lying.
The A34 back and sides are made of plastic material, it looks shiny on the outside and adopts fingerprints and smudges easily. It comes in four colors: black, awesome silver, awesome lime, awesome violet.
The Samsung logo on the back side sticks out a bit, which is a cool touch. The side frames are plastic, but they look good in the hand. It is curved on both sides so it is comfortable to hold and use, and it has a matte finish that does not show dirt easily. The edges around the screen are thinner this year, especially at the bottom. The phone still has a teardrop notch at the top for the front camera. This notch looks old because most phones recently have a small hole in the screen for the selfie camera.
Samsung Galaxy A34 is not made from fancy materials, it is mostly made of plastic, but it feels like a good build and does not bend easily. If we tap on the back it sounds cheap, but that is a minor detailing. The best thing is that it is protected from dust and water, the same as the previous version of the phone. The front side has Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the display.

This phone has a 120Hz refresh rate. This is good, but you cannot set it to automatically adjust. We have two choices 60Hz and 120Hz. We can pick one, if we set it to 120Hz it is mostly running on 120Hz, even when we do not need it. This can drain the battery faster.
Samsung A34 Processor :
Samsung A34 5G uses a MediaTek Dimensity 1080 processor, instead of using their own. It is a good mid-range chip that is built using a recent and efficient 6nm technology. This is an octa-core processor, the 2 cores have a higher clocked version for performance, and the balance six cores are used for power efficiency.
Samsung A34 and Samsung A54 use different chips. Galaxy A34 uses MediaTek Dimensity. The Galaxy A34 and A54 are similar when it comes to graphics. They both use the same type of GPU, but the A54 has a slight edge.
The Samsung Galaxy A34 has a good processor. It works well and it is almost the same as the more expensive A54. The A34 5G is Smooth and fast, especially when using the higher refresh rate display. We can swipe up and down to switch between regular and selfie cameras. There is no dedicated telephoto camera on the Samsung A34, But we can do digital zoom via the main sensor.

The way we organize our apps, see notifications, switch between apps, lock the screen, and set up the phone how we like, are all customizable in Samsung OneUI. It has the accent color palette feature which works on the colors we see on the phone, there is all match automatically to the color we choose to show on the mobile. These colors can even be used on the app icons.

The Samsung A34 specifications look promising for a good mid-range mobile, and it is very similar to the phone that was launched by Samsung. Bigger screen, smoother 120Hz very bright display same as the more expensive A54. Long battery life, promising triple setup rear camera, 13MP front camera, and Samsung’s long time update support, These all are solid specs if you are looking for mid-range mobile. It does most things as an S series phone without spending too much. Honestly, we could not find much wrong with this mobile and we think it is a great phone that deserves to be recommended.
