Expert point of view
OPPO, in its bid to convince the consumer that it is worth their while to consider one of its products, instead throws up OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G - the world's first phone with IP69 dust and water resistance direct from India. But what does this really mean in terms of daily use? So, does the F27 Pro Plus 5G live up to its hype? Can it compete as a general commuter, and is this something that the average consumer should consider? So, letâs dive into it!

This area of the market is very crowded, as there are a ton of great options, each catering to different user attitudes. The POCO F6 and the Infinix GT 20 Pro cater to those in need of more raw processing power, such as gamers or heavy users. While the likes of Samsung Galaxy F55 or Infinix Note 40 Pro emphasize looks and camera cutting style. One question, then: What is it that sets the F27 Pro+ 5G apart? This time, OPPO has taken a different route, focusing on modular build over raw power or chic design.
Design
The F27 Pro+ 5G is a tough phone that will surprise you. Although it is very likely to survive most wildest trips and falls, sort of extreme weather conditions or harshest survival circumstance thrown at it, the device also tries look pretty sleeker than these type gear usually tend too. That aside, it looks quite nice with a dual-tone finish. It's vegan leather on the rear with a surface treatment of siloxane to help protect against scratches. Available in Midnight Navy and Dusk Pink (both reviewer-approved head-turners), the phone does not look like a rugged device at all.

For all of its rugged qualifications, the F27 Pro+ 5G is extremely slim. With dimensions of 162.7 x 74.3 x 7.9mm and a weight of only 177 grams, the phone is easy to hold in one hand as well Aside from having comfortable grip improved by the curved sides and reduced weight, a slight stretch might be needed for it to bring one's thumb closer up top edges. But the vegan leather rear cover adds a great texture to hold, so you don't have to worry about losing grip. Simply put, the F27 Pro+ 5G demonstrates that you do not have to sacrifice any style or ease of use in a rugged phone.
But OPPO doesn't stop there. The telephone has passed shakes and drops testing of SGS certification significantly, fulfilling military norms for shock resistance. That means withstanding functional shocks, transportation shocks during shipment and handling in transit, falling-off drops, or even crash hazards.
Display
OPPO F27 Pro Plus 6.7-inch display with an almost bezel-less design (a screen-to-body ratio of up to 93%).Delivers a best-in-class viewing experience on an ultra-clean large AMOLED display. The panel is resistant to scratches, drops, and extreme temperatures; it can also resist both spilled liquids as well as corrosive fluids. With no need for a phone to be wrapped into a case because the home button has been reformed. The 93% body-to-screen thickness ratio gives us an all-screen experience.

This F27 Pro+ 5G has a Full HD display. What this means is that text and graphics look nice & sharp, so any videos or web browsing you do, as well most gaming, will be excellent. At 394 ppi, there's no way you're going to see pixels - get up close, and you'll still only just start seeing them.
Camera
OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G, on the other hand, comes with a triple-camera setup on its back that is led by a 64MP primary sensor. This means high-resolution photos at f/1.7 and full size to allow more light in darker areas. There is also autofocus available to help keep your things clear. However, it uses an open-loop focus motor that can be more sluggish than newer closed-loop systems installed in premium phones. You also get a 2MP depth camera for portrait shots, which accompanies the main sensor. This specific sensor is, of course, fixed-focus, and its use cases are rather limited.

AI Features The F27 Pro+ comes equipped with the AI features that are expected from a modern-day Smartphone. As much as I love some of these features, there's a part that must work back out - and therein lies the opportunity. The camera is for the AI stuff in this phone; let's look closely.
AI in Portrait Mode
The front camera also benefits from an AI feature. Automatically adjust selfies with new filters that allow you to better highlight your face. While a lot of users will probably like the ability to make things look "Social Media ready" with some taps, this wasn't something reviewers loved. The AI retouching worries me because it could lead to over-processing of the image and cause it to look fake. This feature might not be great for users who like their work in a more natural form.
Video Recording
For video recording, the F27 Pro+ can record in 4K resolution at a frame rate of 30fps. This results in great videos that are suitable for recording memories. There's a big caveat, though: the phone has a level of shaky video stabilization. The F27 Pro+ uses OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) to reduce camera shake when filming video footage, but despite this feature, the phone is incapable of producing super steady videos while shooting hand-held.
Performance
Building on the hardware, OPPO F27 Pro+ 5G characterizes an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity processor supported by a 2.6 GHz with ARM Mali-G68 MC4 GPU. One of the key highlights on this F27 Pro+ is AI LinkBoost, which automatically detects your scenarios and switches networks for a seamless, always-on experience. In conclusion, the phone has a good set of specs that can make your overall smartphone experience faster.

Battery life and charging
For a phone with such an efficient processor, it houses quite the small 5000mAh battery, which should last you through a day given normal usage. It is a translation that can, but the benchmarks hint towards slightly less-spaced opponents. It could compete there and would translate to so-so battery life; it needs to be quick as well, not quite what we expect from this segment. But how does the phone in question perform when it comes to battery life and charging?

The main character is the 67W charging speed, with power to recover fast when required. It boils down to what you value the most. You also likely want better battery life, but if you need your phone to last a whole day without any top-ups, we'd again recommend looking elsewhere. However, if you are looking for fast charging this time too, then F27 Pro+ has an upper hand with its rapid refueling capabilities.
Conclusion
Option all-too often considered inconvenience some situation by any middle school student living underneath stairs. Not the fastest phone or home to the biggest camera, but at least it never broke. The F27 Pro+ is put under the all-knowing lens of our review, detailing everything that makes or breaks a smartphone and helps you to predict if this is your dream-come-true fixture.
